I just found an obituary on the Pembroke Observer website for Vernon Howe. Vern completed his military career in RCEME. He served at the School in the 60's and as a civilian mech in CFB Borden. He was also a great hockey player.

Sgt.Elwood (Woody)Crites passed away on March 26 2008, Memorial Service will be held at Comox Legion on April 7th 2008 at 1 Pm. A Good Soldier and a Great Friend.

Well the 28th Eastern EME Bonspiel is over, I think I had the best time I ever had. Thanks again to our friends and especially to Bill and Diane for putting up with us again this year.
