Still in Kabul with the UN. Our workshop here is busy trying to keep up with repairs. Really bad roads here, so shocks and springs are changed frequently. Hope everyone in Canada is ok. Also, best wishes to our techs down south in Kandahar.

Was wondering if anyone would remember my Dad, George Ernest Backer, from Grandmere,Shawinigan, Quebec. He would have served in the 1940's. Found a set of napkin rings engraved with R.C.E.M.E. 1946. Ring any bells to anyone? Cheers, George Backer

Received Armourer training in summer of 1952.posted to ottawa vehicle proving grounds from there to armoured Corp for remainder of my 3 years worked with 2 other armourers during that time. Sam Wilkinson WWII, my uncle served with rceme as an armorer
