May 30th, 2006 The LA has been busy over the past year. New members have transferred in others have joined us and we now have 44 members. We have set up and served dinners for many functions at the Branch. There was a successful Bake sale in December and the LA also worked the cloak room from November to the end of March. We participated in Euchre, Cribbage and Darts during the year at Zone and District levels. Unfortunatly we did not advance to Provinical. The Annual Fashion Show in May was a great success and we look forward to next year. Some of the charities we donate funds to are; Veterans Comfort, Charitable and Bursary Foundations and many other organizations. We donated $1500.00 to the Branch for new ceiling tiles, paint and painting of the Club Room. We also helped pay for a new television set in the Club Room. Three new serving carts were purchased as well. If you would like any information regarding our Auxiliary or are interested in joining please call the Legion at 389-6605.
